2006 ECIDC/Agracel, Inc. Business Appreciation Awards

The ECIDC/Agracel, Inc. Business Appreciation Award was originated by Agracel's founder and CEO Jack Schultz. Schultz addressing the crowd said, There are more than 700 jobs represented in this room today. You are making a significant impact on this region and one that you should be proud of. We certainly are proud of you and look forward to your future within the East Central Illinois region.

The award began in 2005 and is given annually to a business in each ECIDC county. The business is required to be "for profit" and in business within the respective county for a minimum of 3 years. The criteria involves the recipients contribution to the economic growth of the county, environmental consciousness and being a good neighbor. The event was held at Lake Land College at Robert D. Webb Hall. More than sixty people gathered to honor nine well-deserving companies. The following companies were chosen by the respective Countys Economic Development entity for the award:

Christian County- Marsango Rental Properties

Clark County- Charles Industries, Ltd.

Coles County- Trace Photonics, Inc.

Cumberland County- Evapco, Inc. - Midwest

Douglas County- Flesor's Candy Kitchen

Edgar County- Beacon News

Effingham County- HN Automotive, Inc.

Moultrie County- HPR Automotive Superstore

Shelby County- Software Solutions Integrated, LLC
