ECIDC Develops Pilot Project Connecting Generations -
A community volunteer program in Effingham, Illinois, that matches caring students with area seniors to learn Internet skills. This pilot project was developed with the goal that other rural communities might easily adopt a similar student-to-senior mentoring program.

ECIDC Co-Hosts 3rd Annual Regional Broadband Summit
Almost 100 community leaders, government representatives, broadband providers and broadband stakeholders gathered on December 6, 2012 in Mattoon, Illinois to network and learn of current broadband services, planned expansion projects in the region, and broadband education/adoption efforts in the region.
